Little Big Planet

Little Big Planet, also abbreviated as LBP is a “user created content video game” and puzzle performer advanced under “The Next big Thing” title for playstation 3.

It was launched in the year of 2007 by an individual namely Phil Harrison at GDC 2007 (Game Developers conference) at San Francisco of California.

The whole game turns around participant’s control over small character, popular as sack girl or sack boy holding their appearances in diversity of platforming situations.

The game comes with a complete set of preloaded levels for the participants to explore, though the customizable nature of the game is significant by the same token, from modifying the particular character and individual space to generating some new levels and objects.

The participants can then play and share these games online as a branch of Little Big Planet community.

Little Big Planet game features three major attributes of Play, Create and share on the whole. Player starts playing the game inside his/her own pod, which is a personal room from where they can get access to three game modes of game.

To begin with, Play is the only mode made available and the participant must go through some lessons narrated by “Stephen Fry”, who is an English Writer and actor. After all tutorials are completed, the participant is free to take part in rest of game.

The Play mode of the game boasts of numerous levels created by “Media Molecule” which are completely based upon certain themes that take stimulation from real world sites such as streets of New York City, dry deserts, Japanese gardens and freezing Russian stages.

After completing the available levels, the player is free to take the story forward and continue playing further with some unlocked stages. The “story mode” consists of major 8 themed locations with each containing 3 or 4 main stages while some of these comprise some collectable keys so as to release bonus mini stages.

Overall, the story mode contains more than fifty preloaded levels. A number of pre-made objects can also be found in almost all levels with which players can interact.

On the best part, players are free to customize or personalize the characters in a number of ways like they can select texture and base color for sack boy from a wide range of designs and materials and may also apply beautiful stickers to the characters with the usage of pre built items such as capes, swords, masks and clothes.
